I am sponsoring a writing contest for middle-school, high-school and adult writers. The prizes are $100 for middle-school students, $200 for high-school students and $500 for adults; students can simultaneously submit papers for the student and adult contests.

Be sure to tell me your PayPal number or money order number when submitting papers so I know you have paid the submission fee. It is $5 for middle-school students, $10 for high-school students and $15 for adults. This includes commentary on all student papers so, even if you do not win, you can try again the following semester with a better idea of what I am looking for. If you are a student and wish to simultaneously register as an adult, the register as an adult but tell me that you are a student and provide contact information for your school principal when submitting your manuscript.

If you win, I will need to contact your school principal to verify that you are a student and to arrange to have a photo taken of your principal presenting you with the certificate and prize money. Also, I hope your school newspaper and perhaps also your local newspaper will write an article about your achievement.
